Hey ExtremeBartening staff.....

Hi Ryan,
Good suggestion, thank you, and we're always more than happy to hear new ideas that will make the site better. I've looked at it in the past and there's a few reasons why we haven't done it. Cost of building it in, cost of bandwidth to run it, how many people really would use it? ( i like your vote poll & i'll watch it to see ). Also the censorship issue. With a message board lik ewe have now there are few if any problems with innappropriate posts. One thing i really like about what we have now is that it grows as a valuable resource for everyone. As people take the time to help others with their questions, there will always be a record of it and instantly people can learn many new things and be exposed to new ideas.
I'll keep an eye on it though
Thank you for hanging out on our site

OK Live Chat has serious problems, set-up costs and time, moderation, ongoing bandwidth etc etc. Also like SY said - you will get questions asked over and over again with nothing to refer back to.
Now if someone ie extremebar is going to do a live chat - they really gotta be sure that it is or is going to pay itself back in terms of people acutally using it.
So - here's an idea - obviously Scott and Karen will have to say yes or no - but why doesn't everyone that wants to use a chat facility - submit all their email addresses to the extremebar office and they can organise a certain live event whereby they put everyone on MSN messenger together. If there are more than 20 people chatting - SY and KY will have a rethink - good suggestion?

Excellent suggestion! I have refrained frommposting an opinion here, as I rarely have patience for live chat and the "How R U?" "I M Fine" kind of chat that goes on. I generaly enjoy posting bards more because they are truly more informative, in My Opinion, or as chatters would say "IMO". I find it hard to struggle through the abreveations and the gobltygook that one usualy finds in chat rooms.
Remember this is only my opinion.... and we all know what those are like. _________________ The odds are good but the goods are odd. |

| I think a live chat is great no one would have to wait for answers, more bartenders would use it. as far as the comment about GOBLTYGOOK goes your not really doing anything different than you are now, and you can always say "see ya". |
