[b:e73dc7f645][color=violet:e73dc7f645]Has anyone ever seen a calendar "for bartenders" that "at-a-glance" shows you the day a person would have to have been born to be 21 as of that day? In other words, if you're checking an I.D. all you'd have to do is look up at this calendar and it would have the current date, and maybe the date a customer would have to have been born after, to be "of age" on that particular day.
I hope this makes sense....it sounds a little confusing, but I think it would be great if we, as bartenders could just glance at a calendar and see in big red number the date a person would have had to been born on to be "legally drinking" that day.
(i.e. today is September 18, 2004....it would show you the birth date - September 18, 1983 that would make that customer 21 years of age as of today.)
Sorry if this is a little confusing...I can't think of any other way to word it....LOL If it is confusing, please tell me in your post what part you don't understand.....thx
I just think it would be nice if we didn't have to keep track of the year a person turns 21 and could just glance up to a calendar on the wall for quick reference, just to be sure that we're not serving someone that is underage.....Thanks for any help anyone can provide. I'd love to find a calendar like what I'm trying to describe [/color:e73dc7f645][/b:e73dc7f645]

OK just remember the year 21 years before now - so 1983 - and then look at todays date. Now if their ID says 1983 or before - they're ok - if it goes slightly further and you have to look at the date is todays date before the're birthday?

Actually the distributors have promo calendars made like that. Every day the date needs to rolled up a day in order to be show the current (minus 21) date, which to me seems like more work than doing the math - 21 minus the current year, todays date or earlier. Your choice I suppose though. If you don't order the liquor perhaps you could talk to the person who does and ask to inquire about acquiring one.
