When I was in Cobo A guy poured a shot out of his tin That changed colors while he poured it. It was 7 or 8 different shots and each one was a different color. Does anyone know how he did it?

Different gravity liquids maybe? It would have to be extreme so that it settled after shaken. Either this or maybe some kind of trick.

Rips was the name of the place that I was at that made them and the bartender showed me how to make them in exchange for a couple of unique drinks I make. Its pretty easy and has to do with being VERY still while you pour into the mixing cup, the position of the pour into the cup (3:00, 6:00 etc.) and the order in which you pour it in. DO NOT SHAKE OR STIR!!!! Then when you pour from the mixing cup into the shot glasses it is specific which side you start from and por slowly. They don't taste very good but they are a real bar favorite for party shots. It is pressed lime, vodka, orange juice, grenadine, and blue curacio. I'm going to try to incorporate chambord for fun but haven't tried yet.

Take a shaker tin and fill it 3/4 with ice. Add Malibu, Vodka, and Triple Sec first. Tilt the tin and add Grenadine. Then add OJ and Sweet and Sour. Finally topping it off with Blue Curacao. Do not shake. Watch the colors layer as you pour. In LA we use 6 Rocks glasses with 2 ounces each. Meant for 2 people. Have fun!

I tried it out a couple of times and for some reason I always get it wrong. Here's what happens:
My first shot comes out yellow then the following go greener and darker as the curacao comes out. Then suddenly the last ones are brownish/redish because of the grenadine and the curacao leftovers.
So first : how do i make the curacao come out FIRST?
And why can't I make my grenadine mix with the o.j?

My favorite layered shot is the Springbokkie. The Springbokkie or Springbok shooter is composed of one part of creme de menthe and one part of amarula. It derives its name from the team jersey colours (green and gold) of the South Africa national rugby union team. Enjoy!
